Feed Ingredient Inspection in Turkey

Oilseed meals, milling by-products and feed grains move through Turkish crushers, mills and ports in large volumes. Protein, fibre, moisture and mycotoxins decide the price, and sampling decides the result.

How we sample and inspect

Sampling follows GAFTA or FOSFA rules or the contract, drawing increments from the moving stream during loading or from bags across the lot. Composite samples are divided into sealed sets for analysis, seller, buyer and arbitration.

  1. Agree contract specification, tolerances and sampling rules
  2. Inspect storage and the means of transport
  3. Draw increments during loading and build composite samples
  4. Examine colour, odour, texture, foreign matter and insects
  5. Measure moisture on site
  6. Send samples for protein, fat, fibre, ash and mycotoxins
  7. Supervise weighing, draft survey or weighbridge records
  8. Issue quality and weight reports
