Inspection and Quality Control

Pre-Shipment Food Inspection in Turkey

Final random inspection of food, produce and feed before it leaves the supplier, when the goods are packed and ready to load.

Overview

Pre-Shipment Inspection in practice

Pre-shipment inspection is the last point at which a buyer can stop a problem cheaply. We inspect once production is complete and packed, draw a random sample using ISO 2859-1 or your plan, check quality, quantity, packaging and labelling, and report before loading. Combined with loading supervision, it closes the gap between what was inspected and what was shipped.

What we cover

  • Quantity check against the packing list
  • Random sampling by AQL or contract method
  • Product quality and defect assessment
  • Packaging, marking and label checks
  • Weight checks
  • Laboratory sampling where required

When buyers use it

  • Before final payment
  • For new suppliers and new products
  • For every shipment of high-risk categories

What you receive

  • Inspection report with pass, fail or pending laboratory result
  • Photographs
  • Defect and weight tables

How it works

The same disciplined sequence for every assignment, so reports are comparable across suppliers and seasons.

  1. BriefYou send the product, specification, supplier and date. We confirm scope, method and cost in writing.
  2. PlanWe agree the checklist, sampling plan, laboratory and reporting format before the visit.
  3. On siteA food-qualified inspector attends, works independently of the supplier and records evidence.
  4. ReportYou receive a clear report with photographs, usually the same day, and laboratory results when ready.
  5. Follow upWhere needed, we manage corrective actions with the supplier and re-inspect.

What happens if a lot fails?

We report the failure with evidence the same day. You decide whether to reject, ask for re-sorting or rework, or accept with a price adjustment. If the supplier reworks the lot, we can re-inspect.
